There are no snaps or other fasteners on the bodice of this sweeping blue silk and ivory lace dress so we are assuming the wearer pinned it in place at the waist. The waist does have 4 black metal snaps to help it stay closed. The dress is constructed using both machine stitching and handsewn seams. The ivory lace sleeves end in a tight 4" cuff. This elegant dress has a stand up collar lined with white satin with ruffled metal stays to help it remain upright in back. Both the sleeves and the satin collar are heavily soiled and would benefit from professional cleaning. There is also a 4.5" tear at the bottom of the skirt in back. The back has an extra bustle-like tier of fabric and ends in an elaborate kick pleat. Bust= 38"; Waist= 26"; Sleeve L= 23"; Shoulder to hem=59.5"
