Additional photos available.Fabulous 19th century English William Wood three piece salad set has a porcelain salad bowl with cobalt blue porcelain collar and base outlined with gold bead. The center three inch band is antique cream porcelain with hand painted blue and coral asters and green leaves. Signed on the bottom with the distinctive Wm Wood design and initials along with "B4286". The rim was evidently silver plated originally but worn evenly with age revealing the solid brass beneath and slight darker on inside so now appears as uniformly brass,a compliment to the porcelain gold beading appearing to have been made as brass. The bowl is hallmarked "EPNS". The salad fork and spoon are silver plate showing the hallmarks in their rectangular boxes of "SND3". A nice combination of gold and silver. Matching porcelain handles in the same aster design. Porcelain in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or obvious wear to the porcelain. A stunning set, large size of bowl 9.5L X 5H,utensils 11.75L X 1.75W. .
