Signed Bronze Relief Running Figures Medallion Plaque
Description: Vintage Signed Bronze Relief Running Figures Medallion Plaque, Mid-Late 20th C. Probably American. The plaque is modeled and cast in medium relief with a figure of a nude man and woman running in what appears to be a relay race (they seem to be passing a baton). The lower left edge is incised with a signature (possibly "AB babke" or "1/3 babke"). The artist has not been identified. Price Comparison: $300-400 in Fine Art & Antiques Gallery. Dimensions: 4-3/4" Diameter, 1" Deep. Weight: 1.85lbs. (30oz.) Condition: There is some rubbing/wear to the patina along the raised surfaces and back side of the plaque. Otherwise, the piece is in good condition.
