Antique Art Nouveau Bavarian Schumann Arzberg porcelain plate. The Carl Schumann factory produced porcelain in Arzberg, Bavaria, Germany 1881-1996 and was famous for its colorful patterns. This two-handled plate features vivid pink and green organic shapes outlined in black on an eggshell center and an outer band of peach. Metallic gold is used to outline the rim and handles, and as central design accents. The back of the plate is stamped in blue with "Bavaria" above and "Schumann, Arzberg" below a central shield; it is signed with a painted "T.R." The plate measures about 9 1/4 inches in diameter, 9 1/2 inches including the handles. There are no chips or cracks in this piece. There is surface wear, some discoloration and paint loss.
