SIgned Alexandrite Miguel Melendez parure

$650.00

These stones have so many colors in them that the camera did not pick them all up. The mexican sterling signed parure 3th3stones are purples and reds and blues and depending on which light you hold them in, you see the stones change. Set in signed sterling pieces that are very modernist, these are really an exciting set to come upon. There is a large brooch, pendant with a 17” sterling chain, earrings and all pieces are signed sterling and they have an eagle with a 3 and the initials MC. According to the Little Book of Mexican silver trade and hallmarks, this would put this set as a Miguel Melendez set. Two of the pieces are brighter silver ( my guess is they were polished and the others not). The earrings are screw on and my guess on the date is the 1940’s. I understand he worked under Margot de Taxco and he worked as Los Castillo.Since this is Irreplaceable there can be no returns on this sale. Please use photos to make your decisions.
