One ad is from Downs And Company of Evanston Illinois They sell Indian Printing Blocks. No two blocks are alike. hand carved in interesting designs from hand sosso or turn wood. Used in India to pring designs on woven fabrics, in our country for all kinds of printing, drawer pulls, door handles, paper weights. Also an ad from Jenifer House of Harrington, Mass. They sell a Codfish Tail Chair. Sturdy hardwood with a 2 inch shaped pine seat. Turned legs and ballooned stretchers jointed with wood pegs. Antique pine finish. All items are pictured, described and priced yet few have the name of the manufacturer. This ad gives you a general idea what was a timely or popular gift for that era. In excellent condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This original magazine tear sheet measures 9 1/2 inches wide by 12 1/2 inches tall.
