Up for your consideration is a clock and barometer set, chrome-plated over bronze. It was originally manufactured by, or for, the Salem Clock Company of Connecticut (which was in operation in the Hartford area from the late 1940s to the 1970s.) The diameter of the dials is 4 inches, and the OD of the bezels is 5.5 inches.
When these instruments came to me, the clock face was trashed, and the movement was missing. I installed a new quartz movement, and a new Chelsea face. The barometer face is original, slightly faded, but the movement is a earlier replacement and is in good operating condition.
The set is mounted on a custom-built mahogany stand, which could either be placed on the mantle, or hung on the wall.
This is a nice pair of instruments, and would go nicely in your office, den, or on your boat. One nice feature is that you will not have to wind it every week. A new battery every so often will keep it on the job.
