Shell And Mens Rubber Boots Ad 1944 This is a April 25, 1944 advertisement. It is a nice color ad from Shell Research Division of Shell Oil company. Inc. Ad shows a pair of mens wet rubber boots on newspaper. Cocker Spaniel is peeking around the corner. Ad tells how the Japanese overran Malaya and took away our rubber. Shell oil research laboratories came up with a substitute for footwear and a lot of other rubber goods. It is called Dutrex. It is sweeping the industry, a plasticizer, tackifier, extender and processing aid. In mint condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This original magazine tear sheet measures 10 1/2 inches wide by 14 inches tall.
