Sewing Stand (Renaissance Revival)

Unavailable
~When oak furniture was considered "poor peoples furniture", walnut, rosewood, and mahogany pieces were highly prized by the wealthy and influential.  Renaissance Revival  furniture c.1855-1880, is some of the most beautiful furniture ever hand made in our country.  Beautiful sewing stands were more in the category of parlor pieces where ladies occupied themselves with "fancy work".  ~From our New England picker we obtained this gorgeous Classic Renaissance Revival Sewing Stand/Table.  The warmth of walnut covers this entire piece.  Burl walnut trim highlights the piece.  A single drawer is provided for sewing supplies such as thimbles, spools, and other tools.  The beautiful lower rolled cylinder is made to hold larger items ...perhaps the very piece that was being decorated with fancy work.  This lovely sewing stand/table has been gently restored and is ready to be treasured.  This piece could easily be shipped via Greyhound or UPS.  Please inquire about shipping costs.
