19th century sewing basket with strings of celluloid plaited in it. It is closing with leather bands with copper buckles. The buckles are still there, but the leather bands are broken. So it is made of cane, wood and celluloid. The handles are not in top-condition. One leather band is also broken at the back. For the rest, the basket is pretty ok. 22 centimeter [8.66 inches] long. Widest point at the side [it is not completely straight] 12.5 centimeter [5 inches]. It is without the handles 16 centimeter [6.3 inches] high. The buckles have little faces in it. It is a rare item.
