Sevres Still Life Painted Porcelain Plaque by Philippine (1823)

This painted porcelain plaque from Sevres is signed Philippine Jeune and dated 1823, and depicts a hand-painted floral still life. Plaque is mounted in a tray measuring 17 by 20 in (51 by 43 cm) inside a frame measuring 22.5 by 25.5 in (57 by 65 cm) weighing 41 lbs. Condition is good.  There is the usual degree of wear, nicks and scratches, and two very old, professional staple repairs on verso as seen in our images. Note the Sevres factory mark on verso.
