This is a generously proportioned set of six side chairs with frame up upholstered seats that drop into the seat frame. Each chair is numbered and each seat frame is also numbered to fit the corresponding chair- a sign of hand fitting. The tall backs show the silhouette of the Ribbon Back style, but have none of the carved details. The legs on these chairs are very unique with their "Spanish" style foot with carved accents, curls and a little ball carved in the top notch. The upholstery is a light moss green chenille fabric with scrunched lines in the fabric. Easily changed without loosing the base upholstery. Reglued, re-upholstered and restored. Seats sit firm, about 19" from the floor and are 20" wide x 15" deep. Size ................ 41" Tall x 23" Wide x 23" Deep Circa .................. 1880-1900
