Set of 12 MF Limoges Michelaud Frères Dinner Plates

Unavailable

Included here are twelve antique porcelain dinner plates attributed to Michelaud Frères of Limoges France. Each measures 10" in diameter and each features hand-painted decoration. Individual plates depict grapes, peaches, apples and pears on the tree or vine. Borders have a cobalt blue ground and detailed gilding decorates the outside edge and inside border. Each is in very good condition, with little wear to the gilding. Many plates show some degree of wear to the painted decoration, noticeable as small white spots of various sizes. This set dates from sometime after 1892. This set resides with our client on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York city, and may be seen by appointment.
