This set of 8 solid mahogany dining chairs consists of 6 side chairs and 2 armchairs. These chairs are all extremely sturdy and tight. In addition, they are generous in size and very comfortable! The armchairs measure 41.5” tall, 23.5” wide and 21” deep. The side chairs measure 40” tall, 20” wide and 19” deep. Their gently arched backs have a wonderful inlaid oval design using ebony and satin woods. Also, there is use of line inlay and 4 small inlaid fans in the corners of the central design. The use of satinwood line inlay continues along the chair stiles, front legs and seat rails. Notice the repeat of the fan inlay on the 2 sides of the front tapered legs. Even the shapely, carved arms and their supports have decorative line inlay. The chairs are covered in soft blue grey velvet which is in very good to excellent condition. The cushion in the back and seat are in excellent condition. Their finish is also in excellent condition, having a rich desirable color and patina. These chairs would work well with a variety of dining tables. We currently have several tables which would greatly compliment these chairs.
