This set of solid mahogany dining chairs is in the Sheraton style. The set consists of 2 armchairs and 6 side chairs. The armchairs measure 32.5” tall by 21” wide by 21” deep. The side chairs measure 32.5” tall, 19” wide and 19” deep. This lovely set has deeply carved acanthus leaf along the top crest rail and among the lower rung of the back. The backs are elegantly shaped. All the chairs have needlepoint seats which appear hand done. The design on the seats is of grapes, strawberries, cherries with leaves, etc. The background color is a lovely shade of yellowish gold. The fabric is in very good to excellent condition having no tears or obvious stains. These could probably use professional cleaning to brighten the colors. The chairs rest on elegantly turned feet. There is one side chair which has had a major professional repair to the frame. The remaining 7 chairs are all tight and in excellent condition.
