Here is a set of 6 dining chairs in the Eastlake Victorian design made about 1880. These chairs are very attractive with the incised Eastlake carving on the back, stylized scroll pieces and 5 spindle back. Each chair has two hip huggers on the seat. The chair bottom has turned spindle front legs and two turned spindle stretchers on the front. These are nice size chairs with the seat measureing 18 by 16 inches. The chair seat covering, cushioning and base are new...applied over the old woven cane. The chairs are in excellent condition and have been restored to a medium dark golden oak.
