BARCLAY/SCOTT ANTIQUES was located at 4 Rohde Avenue in historic St. Augustine, Florida, beginning in 1986, under the ownership of Joe and Pat Webb. Joe moved his business, ANCIENT CITY REFINISHERS to Rohde Avenue in 1984 after attending and completing furniture restoration studies at Sotheby's in New York. Barclay/Scott evolved as an extension of Ancient City Refinishers, specializing in selective antiques. Furniture was always a primary focus and styles varied from American Federal, c. 1830 Country Primitive to European. Gradually, over almost 30 years, the inventory expanded into many different areas that encompasses the fascinating arena of antiques. Still focusing on private acquisitions, quality and uniqueness.
In the summer of 2012 Joe and Pat relocated to the charming town of Brevard, North Carolina. They continue selling online through GoAntiques and also exhibit their inventory at ANTIQUE MARKET GALLERY in Asheville and ANTIQUITIES in Hendersonville. Both establishments are professionally operated antique malls located in vibrant and beautiful towns in western North Carolina.
