Time Was Antiques is now a virtual shop specializing in English antiques, uniques, collectibles & items for your tea table with a British Accent. We semi retired in July 2004 and closed our actual antique shop to concentrate on our growing online web business.
We travel to England yearly to scour the markets and stalls there for English treasures and victoriana. We have a huge selection (over 5,000 items) in our inventory, always changing and always being added to, and we are adding them to cyber inventory as soon as we can!
We are a husband and wife team. John is a Brit with 38 years of experience as a diamond setter (beginning with the usual 6 year English apprentice system begun at age 15) and Ruth has been in the antique business for years starting as a teenager with her English grandmother's gift to her to her teapot and cup & saucer sets.

PAYMENT

This
dealer accepts the following form(s) of payment:
Discover, Mastercard, Visa, Personal Checks, Money Order, PayPal
US customers: Personal checks, cashier's checks, money orders, credit cards and Paypal. Payment expected within 7 days. NON US buyers: Payment will only be accepted from a Paypal account with a confirmed address and will be shipped ONLY to that address. There is a $2.00 per package handling and packing costs fee. DUE TO NON-PAYING CUSTOMERS, UNLESS PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN AGREED UPON, ALL ITEMS WILL BE HELD FOR YOU FOR 7 DAYS ONLY. AFTER THAT TIME THEY WILL RETURNED TO STOCK FOR RESALE....Layaway is always welcome. Terms; 20% down and balance paid within 3 months with a payment due each month. On large items terms are negotiable. Due to state laws payments cannot be made by credit card. Order cancellation or failure to complete incurs a 10% or $10.00 restocking fee, whichever is larger....We are required to collect 8.4% sales tax from Washington residents.

SHIPPING
POLICY
Paypal, credit card, cashier's checks and money orders from US customers will ship within 3 days of payment receipt. Personal checks will ship when cleared--approximately 7-10 days. We will ship worldwide to any country not expressly prohibited by the terms of our shipping insurance contract. Paypal and credit card orders for non US buyers may only be shipped to the confirmed address on the account.
We are not responsible for delays or duty imposed by receiving countries as we have no knowledge of that.

RETURNS
POLICY
If Property purchased is materially different than as represented on this site, the original buyer shall have the right within three business days of receiving the Property to rescind the transaction by so notifying the seller and by returning the Property to the seller, in the same condition as when received by the buyer, at the buyer's risk, cost and expense.
If the item was damaged during shipping, buyer needs to keep all packing & original boxes and email us immediately with photos to begin damage claim process. Seller will provide any necessary paperwork to help buyer with his/her claim. Do not repack and do not mail the damaged items back to us unless asked to do so. There is no restocking fee. You will be refunded through your original payment method if granted. Postage costs will not be refunded.
