Pete Pardoe welcomes you to Part of the Past Antiques.
His shop, located in Wiscasset, Maine, has been owned and
operated by Pete for the past fourteen years. Pete is a retired
college and high school teacher, and has been a 3rd generation
antiques dealer for the past twenty-seven years. His grandfather,
Ogden Hoffman and his mother Hilda Pardoe were in the antiques
business in New Jersey since the early 1930's. Pete has been
buying and selling antiques since 1980, first in Malone, New York
and now in Wiscasset, Maine. His shop offers a wide selection of
items: early country furniture either in original paint or natural
finish;
toys, tools and early iron; hooked rugs and other folk art; books and
prints; nautical, scientific and sporting items. The shop is open all
year.

PAYMENT
POLICY
This
dealer accepts the following form(s) of payment:
Mastercard, Visa, Personal Checks, Money Order
1) Part of the Past will accept VISA or MASTERCARD payments to expedite sending out items that have been purchased.2) Money Orders will be accepted and items paid for by this method will be on hold for 3 to 4 days pending receipt of the money order.3) Items paid for by personal check will be on hold until check clears.4) If a customer requests that an item be put on hold for any length of time(5 to 30 days), Part of the Past will request an immediate 10 percent, nonrefundable deposit via credit card.

SHIPPING
POLICY
Small Items:Shipping charges will be based upon shipping by USPS at the 1st class/priority mail rates giving delivery in 3 business days. Customers requiring over night express mail delivery must request this method by emailing Part of the Past.Furniture or Other Large or Heavy Items:Craters and Freighters will be contacted for determining packing and shipping charges fordelivery of all large and more expensive items.

RETURNS
POLICY
Within 5 days of receipt of an item, Part of the Past will accept the return of such from the buyer if it does not match the descriptive representation on the GoAntiques site, provided that the item has not been damaged during shipment. In the case of shipping damage, the buyer should contact the shipper for resolution. NOTE: Part of the Past will have each and every item insured against damage whether shipped via USPS or any other commercial shipper.
