Primitive Riveted Metal Vessel

This primitive hammered metal vessel is believed to date from the nineteenth or early twentieth century and measures 10" across and 9" high. No hallmarks. Possibly made from copper or brass. Fashioned in three sections connected with rivets. It has a spherical or globular shape with narrow neck and has a shape reminiscient of ancient Greek psykter vases used for cooling or decanting wine. Fantastic patina reflects the age of the piece.
