Painted Tin Oil  ( kerosene)  Lamp Wall Sconce  Primitive It is painted  Black with gold Trim  .   The tin wall portion has been pressed into making a beveled border.  There is a square pressed in the middle without any apparent purpose.   The border is trimmed with very dull gold paint.  The paint is dull and chipped off in many places as you can see.  The can has a flip fill lid and the device to work the wick is still intact.    There is an manufacturers name on the face of the knob to work the wick which made it impossible to get a picture of it.   The burner is pretty much lodged into place and I don't dare force off to get a picture.   However it clearly says::   Scovill Mgf. Co. USA .  It is 11.5" tall and 6" deep x 4.5" wide.

The condition is great but the paint is chipping off in many places especially the top of the can.  The good news is that I don't see any rust.

I think that this style was use for a railroad caboose.
