One additional photo available.C.1840-55 century Scottish game board table with hand painted reverse painting on glass which fools the eye as appears as a marble playing area.Greens, gold, black, white chess, checkers or other game board, surrounded by the a wide banded circle in the same marbleized look. The outer rusty/brown corners are solid reverse painting with gold swags. The board in marvelous condition considering the age with only a very few tiny white spots on the glass. Antique cream and gilt wide frame which coordinates with the board background coloring and gold accents and can be lifted off the table for use elsewhere such as a larger table or possible hanging with solid wood backing for stability. The hand carved mahogany table with high legs easily accommodates four as a game table with the board fitting securely into the raised frame. Hand rubbed finish. Excellent craftsmanship along with a very talented Scottish artist. The measurement between the table legs is 23 inches ,allowing most any size chair to be used. Overall measurements 29H X 25.25L X 25.5W.
