Maria Schwamberger Art Deco Bavarian Porcelain Chocolate Set

Unavailable

This porcelain chocolate set was designed by the Austrian-born artist, Maria Schwamberger-Reisser (1896-?) for the Thomas company of Bavaria, circa 1920s. Included here is a pot, creamer and five sets of cups and saucers. (Only four sets are shown in our image.) Each piece carries the gilded mark of the designer, "MS", plus the Thomas and Bavaria marks. Pot measures 6" tall and the creamer measures 3.5" tall. Saucers measure 4.5" across and the cups measure 1.5" tall and 2.5" in diameter. Condition of each is excellent, with no visible cracks or damages. Condition of the gilding is excellent and it appears this set was used very little over the decades. Additional images forwarded upon request.
