Here is a scarce advertising tobacco pack - UMS Union Maid Scrap. This is a play on words as it is Union Made and pictures a maiden (Maid). The image is of a woman standing proudly and wearing gauntlet type gloves. She is dressed in Red White and Blue with a blue blouse with white stars that has a red sash across it and a white skirt. One hand rests on a sword at her side and the other holds a nice Red White & Blue UMS flag / banner / pennant. This unopened package is in excellent/near mint condition with the tax stamp still attached that has separated near one side on top of the pack. There is a date of 1902 on the tax stamp. The tobacco was manufactured in Factory No. 35, First District of Ohio. Colors are bright and crisp. If you are a collector of old advertising tobacco packs or memorabilia relating to patriotic Americana, this is nice.
