Scarce c.1900 photograph showing a boarding house or perhaps a restaurant? in Red Lion,Montana. The sign on the front of the building with the symbol of a large star say's; "THE STAR"... I just cannot make out the remaining words. Red Lion was a mining town around the turn of the 20th century and is now a ghost town with only evidence of the foundations of the buildings that stood. The folks in the photograph sure look like they live in the middle of nowhere going fast. Some rough country and time to live.
