A black face cast iron still bank made prior to 1891. No company name or country of origin is anywhere to be found on this antique bank. The original bank was made by Chamberlin and Hill in England. Since the country of origin was required on all imports after 1891 the lack of same indicates the earliest date. Also the entire white space extends up to the brow area as in the original. The seams are tight and the paint shows some signs of wear, as to be expected. A really nice piece.
