A rarely seen view of pre-earthquake downtown San Francisco. Cabinet card with Perkins stamp on recto, below the image; inventory number (661) and Perkins name burned ito negative. Alfred Judkins Perkins (active 1870s-1890s) worked for famous San Francisco photographers Bradley & Rolofson before establishing his own studio in San Francisco in l877. His daughter, Florence Perkins, also photographed for the studio.
