Saint Euphemia Berlin KPM Plaque After Horbitz

This KPM plaque depicts the martyr Saint Euphemia after the original painting by Horbitz. Rear is signed "Epheu nach Horbitz" and it is signed on front in the upper right corner "nach H Horbitz". A mark in the upper left corner has not been deciphered. Rear carries the impressed KPM and sceptor marks, and various numeric markings. Plaque measures 9" tall and 6 3/8" across. Condition is excellent, with no visible cracks or chips. Frame measures 14.5" tall, 12" across and 1.5" deep. Euphemia was martyred for her Christian faith at Chalcedon, circa 304-307 AD.
