This porcelain box in the shape of a green quince with pink highlights and a gilded curling stem forming the handle, was made by the M.S. Kuznetsov Factory in Russia at the end of the 19th century. Sitting on a lush bed of leaves, the top lifts to reveal vacant glazed interior.

6 1/2 x 4 1/4 in. (16.5 x 10.8 cm.) length x height.
Kuznetsov was a famous tsarist enterprise near Moscow known for figural creations of this type at the end of the 19th century.
