Russian Bronze Figure of a Nude Woman, Serge Zelikson
Description: Antique Russian Bronze Figure of a Nude Woman, Serge Zelikson (Russian, b. 1890), Early 20th C. The figure is modeled in the form of a seated nude female with arms raised and hands on her shoulder and head on a shaped bronze base. The sculpture is signed/inscribed "S. Zelikson" in the cast along the top edge of the base. The bronze is mounted on a conforming polished black slate or marble plinth/stand. There are no additional marks indicating an edition size, foundry or date on the bronze. Dimensions: Bronze (including stand): 10-3/4" High, 10-5/8" Wide, 7-3/4" Deep. Bronze (not including stand): 9-1/2" High, 9-3/8" Wide, 7-1/4" Deep. Weight: 17.5 lbs. Condition: There is some minor rubbing/wear to the surface/patina along the raised edges of the figure and base. There are a few small/tiny surface chips along the edges and base rim of the black stone base. Otherwise, the sculpture is in good condition.
