This is an amusing antique Royal Doulton, England series ware plate from The Skaters series featuring a central oblivious skater heading for a hole in the ice with assorted characters around the rim. The ironstone plate measures 8.75 inche in diameter and is hand colored on brown transfer with brown trim and was made 1907-1928. The plate is in very good +++ condition with no chips or cracks. There is some very minor pattern wear. On the back there is some kiln dust under glaze that occurred during firing. A funny and very collectible plate in a seldom seen pattern.
