This impresive Royal Doulton stoneware garden urn on stand is of circa 1890's. The urn shown in detail with plain everted rim and waisted neck, the ovoid body with swags of fruit, the lower part fluted on acanthus-carved rising circular foot; the matching square stand with canted corners and stepped base and the sides applied with laurel wreaths. Diameter (at the rim) 29 in. by height 39 1/2 in., the base is 29 in. square by height 29 in. and the overall height is 69 1/2 in.
