Antique Royal Bonn Art Nouveau two-handled bulbous vase, produced by the Franz Anton Mehlem Earthenware Factory in Bonn, Germany 1890-1920, with a handpainted peonies design in deep, vibrant colors. This beautiful vase, in greens, ochers, and burgundies, has an impressed stylized design around the top under the gilded rim. It measures approximately 5 7/8 inches high and 4 1/2 inches in diameter. On the bottom of the vase are a number of markings. Stamped in brown is the Franz Anton Mehlem Royal Bonn Germany crown trademark. Painted in red are the numbers 3376/3, 5982, and 37. Lightly impressed are the numbers 2 and 3, several initials, and a round stamp. The vase is in very good condition, with no chips or cracks. There are 3 areas of missing paint and glaze: a very small white area toward the center of the blossom on the lower left front side of the vase, several tiny white scrapes on the lower right front side, and a 5/16 inch oval white area on the upper back of the vase. Please refer to the 4 photographs for appearance and condition. Shipping / packaging will be $10.00.
