Rosewood Victorian jewelry chest

Unavailable
Exquisite miniature Rococo Victorian rosewood jewelry chest. It has a serpentine shaped front and sides. There are two drawers in front with a “fake” drawer on top. When the lid lifts up it exposes a lovely interior with a small oval mirror in the top. The interior of each drawer and top section has the original aged pleated fabric. There is a horizontal shrinkage crack on each side of the case. There is fancy metal hardware on the drawers and matching decorations on the top corners and sides. There is slight chipping to the wooden pulls. The silver metal surrounds have eagle heads on the drawers (the three top ones are missing). The style of the case and metal work lead us to attribute this to an English maker. It is a dainty piece of superb craftsmanship and style! Circa: 1850 Dimensions: 7.5″H x 8″W x 4.5″D Finish: Good original finish with a rich rosewood patina Price: $1495.00
