A pair of Rookwood bookends with a Dutch boy and girl leaning on a tan brick wall with pink tulips. The pair measure about 6" high by 4 1/4" wide and are in very good condition with the exception of a small chip on the right side of the girl's hat (see photos). Each bookend is marked at the bottom with the Rookwood mark,back-to-back "RP", with flames around it. There is also "XXVIII", 6022 (boy) 6023 (girl) and "TS". The bookends are dated 1928 and the artist is Sallie Toohey.
