For the LV Aronson or Art Metal Works Collector (later Ronson) we are offering an excellent pair of 1922 Friar or Monk bookends - this is an original matched pair and have not been "married up". These are hand polychromed and the paint is still in excellent condition. These are very heavy in weight and will never tip over.
"Fashioned by RONSON 11335 D.P.G." On the metal, at the bottom of the back it says L.V.A. c 1922 which is when the original piece was created. Both bookends have this stamped on the back.
They measure approximately 4.25 at the highest point
and 3.35 at the base. A Few small rub marks consistent with their 90 years of age and an odd dark blue corner on top of one base. Bottom felts are nice, very little wear.
Sales to the lower 48 only. We accept personal checks and Paypal. Your item is carefully packed and shipped immediately upon cleared payment. Plenty of more pix available and questions promptly answered.
We have other fine bookends listed on our pages, including some other sets by LV Aronson. See all of our one-of-a-kind and hard-to-find items by clicking on "Storefront" on the right side of this page. Thanks for looking.
