Iron Hand-Saw Vice Vise Early Vintage Small
This is a nice clean early type bench mount hand saw filing vice, most likely for dovetail and miter saws because of it's short 4" wide jaws and 2.5" clearence to the center screw from the edge of the jaw. I have not seen another one like it before. It is solid, and in good working order, but has pitting on the iron most everywhere. The jaw pivot is rather primitive, but that was the way they made them in the early casting days. Can attach to your bench with up to three screws, two predrilled holes for side mounting, one for table top. The overall height is 7.5". If you like early american made tools, this is an interesting example!
