Beautifully engraved certificate from the Rock Island Southern Railroad Company issued in 1907. This historic document was printed by the Columbian Banknote Company and has an ornate border around it with a vignette of a train next to a telegraph / telephone line. This item is hand signed by the Companys President and Secretary and is over 94 years old.
Certificate Vignette The Rock Island Southern Railroad Company was an interurban line which operated from Galesburg to Monmouth (completed 1906)and from Monmouth to Rock Island(completed 1910). The lines was abandoned in 1926.
