This is an extremely rare small Hardcover written by Robert Louis Stevenson. It is an anthology, not just A Christmas Sermon. It contains FONTAINEBLEAU; EPILOGUE TO AN INLAND JOURNEY; RANDOM MEMORIES; THE LANTERN-BEARERS; A CHAPTER ON DREAMS; BEGGARS; LETTER TO A YOUNG GENTLEMAN; PULVIS ET UMBRA; & A CHRISTMAS SERMON. It has 181 pages total, starting on page 105 to 286, which leads me to believe that it is the 2nd book in a set. No torn out or missing pages, the binding is very good and solid, it just starts on page 105. It has no publisher listed or date. The only title is listed on the spine in small gold lettering. The condition is excellent. It is beige with a gilt design. We estimate the date around the late 1880-1890s. There is an inscription on the inside page dated 1899. There is also a newspaper clipping pasted on the free end paper that is dated 1897. There is also the former owner's paste down on the inside of the front cover. Dimensions are approximately 6.25" by 4.25".
