Hand cut and hand printed serigraph, 18x25 in. Signed in pencil and numbered 21/32. Released in 1969. Domestic shipping-$20, international depends upon location. Kimura came to New York in 1964 and established himself immediately as an abstract painter and printmaker working out of his studio in Westbeth in the West Village. He was captivated by the energy and juxtaposition of architectural shapes in large cities and produced many small serigraph editions on this theme which illustrate his intuitive knowledge of color and balance. His works are in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, NY, The Brooklyn Museum, Philadelphia Museum of Modern Art, Minnesota Museum of Art, The Cincinnati Art Museum, The National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto and The National Museum of Taiwan. Every item offered is guaranteed for authenticity and condition. JAFA is a former Sothebys.com Associate.
