Beautiful old covered dish, possibly for soap, made by Ridgways Pottery in the late 1800's. On the bottom is marked Cherry, Ridgways, Rd No. 30165, Stoke on Trent, Rd No. 29265. Pretty design in black, white, blue and pale pink with stems of cherry blossoms, trimmed in gold gilt. No chips or cracks - some wear to the gold.
