Meriden Brittania Sterling Silver Chargers (Set of 12)

Unavailable

This is a wonderful set of twelve sterling silver dinner plates made by the Meriden Brittania Company, in Meriden, Connecticut. The plates have a large rim, outlined with delicate strapwork of an elegant leaf border, and accented with chased decorations of floral bouquets and leaf and shell designs. All the plates are in excellent unused condition, with a plain field that has never been monogrammed. Each plate measure approx. 11” in diameter, and the entire set weighs approx. 210 troy ounces. Each base is stamped with the mark of Meriden Brittania Company and the International Silver Company (who merged after 1912), “Sterling”, and “81B” (pattern number). This beautiful naturalistically decorated plate set would be the perfect way to add elegance to any dinner party.
