American Tap & Die Set w/Case Smaller Sizes!
This is nice clean tap and die set in a fitted wood box that is not marked by the maker on the label on top of the box, "AMERICAN TAP & DIE CO. GREENFIELD MASS. U.S.A.". This set also included both a tap and a die wrench, the tap wrench is also marked "AMT&D CO NO. 107". All of the taps and dies are marked with their respective size and also marked AMT&D if there is room on them, except for the 8-32, and 10-24 taps. The sizes of the taps are from (8-32 to 3/8-16) these are the tap and die sizes: 8-32, 10-24, 12-24, 14-20, 18-18, 20-16, & 24-16 (which is 3/8 diameter size). All are in the wood case, in various pockets cut in the wood box (I added the 10-24 tap to the box after the photo was taken, it's like new). The set features a very nice quality tap wrench, a good sturdy adjustable guide die wrench. All the taps and dies appear to be in good+ to fine condition, and the wrenches are in very good condition. The wood case has room for one extra smaller tapis solid, no damage, minor finish wear, good hinges, and front latch closure. Overall one of the nicest vintage smaller sizes tap and die sets I've seen, as most of the pieces are marked and appears to be the originals. Very complete, very good quality! A rare set in this nice of condition! All the taps and dies are in very good condition, many show no sign of use! The case is made of wood, study, some wear but solid, looks good and is functional, the size of the box/case is 4.9 x 9.1" with a good latch and hings.
