From an Oklahoma connection we obtained this very fine American Oak Side by Side Secretary-Bookcase.  Surrounded by carved acanthus leaves a large carved Northwind presides over this entire piece.  A modified Mansard-inspired roof of beautiful quarter-sawn oak curves up the sides toward the top to create the outstanding hood over the beautiful shapely (recently re-made) beveled mirror.  On the left, the projection of the curved glass door is crowned by a heavy, thick piece of carving that resembles an umbrella. The pull-down desk opens to reveal a serpentine-shaped fitting with 2 drawers & multiple compartments.  Below,  is a rolled front drawer & 2 flat front drawers.  The entire piece is supported on 4 clawfeet.  This fine piece has been professionally restored/refinished.
