American Oak Shaving Stand (Oval Mirror)

Unavailable

We obtained this very nice American Oak Shaving Stand from a Midwest connection. Somewhat rare, this nice shaving stand is a very collectible piece.  A lovely oval shaped (recently re-made) beveled mirror hangs in a wishbone shaped harp that is decorated with incised  carving. The label on the original mirror read, "Cream City Mirror Plate Co., Rockford, Ill; Nov. 8, 1898".  The base with its shapely top contains a combination of one drawer and one compartment with a door that opens from the top.  A curved shelf frames the compartment.  Below a carved lyre-shaped back decorates the inside display area which ends with a full size shelf.  Turned posts at each corner support the piece.  This shaving stand has been professionally restored and refinished.  It can go home with you today!  This piece can be shipped via UPS or Greyhound.  Inquire for a shipping estimate.
