This is the soup bowl in the Triumph shape with the Argonne pattern made by the Limoges China Company from the late 1930's into the 1940's. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs and the floral decal of the Argonne design and the 22 K gold border trim is very good. There is some minor crazing in the glaze. They operated under the Limoges China Company name from shortly after their opening in 1900 until the late 1940's when they were threatened with a lawsuit by the Limoges Company in France over the use of the name "Limoges". After that the name was changed to the American Limoges China Company and they declared bankruptcy and closed around 1955. This soup bowl is marked Triumph Made In U.S.A. Limoges Argonne Warranted 22 K. Gold on the bottom (see photos) and is 8 1/4" in diameter and 1 3/8" high.
