You don't need to be in a renaissance fair to wear something as medieval looking as this Trifari vintage large ( almost 3") shield necklace and bracelet. It looks like a great period piece from the times when romance was a fantasy of women. To have a knight and shining armor was quite the fantasy! It has  rich colors of red and green painted on the reverse side of the clear intaglio glass. Then you hold it to the light, you can see the background is clear so whatever you wear it with, it will have that color background. Made by Trifari, these intricate reverse painted intaglio shields are part of a line that I have a few other pieces of ( the bracelet is  signed, the chain is signed and the pendant  is not). You can tell by the quality and heavy metal work that these were not inexpensive when first purchased. The trifari ( signed ) chain appears to be newer and it is a fancy rope gold filled chain that measures 23" long. The pendant is not signed. You can wear this with a dress or for your medieval wedding. The bracelet has gold plate wear and is not as shiny as the necklace. I love the look of distressed old pieces.. It makes you think they came from an old treasure chest! Sold as is. These are great costume jewelry pieces. 7"
