Copper kettle with welded-on brass hinges, has a rich mahogany colored wood handle and round knob on the lid. It dates back to the 1950s. Needs polishing, remnants of which show as white areas in the niches near the hinge. Inside there is a gray/steel color metal lining of unknown composition with some stains from use. One dent seen on outside. The underside shows the markings: a Revere head with 18 on one side and 01 on the other, along with Revere Ware under the head. In a circle around this area are: Revere Copper and Brass Inc., Rome N.Y. The polished area shows some light scratches, but I believe these scratches are mainly to be found underneath where some sliding took place. Some use seen on bottom. Measures Approx 7 1/4 inches across the base and 7 1/2 inches to the top of the handle.
