Description: Fabulous Retro 18K rose gold brooch featuring more than 41 carats of very fine colored semi-precious stones, all in emerald cuts. The brooch is unmarked, but is almost certainly by luxury jeweler H. Stern. Each stone is slightly larger than the next to create a handsome geometric motif. The stones are of superb quality and excellent color. Citrine is the largest stone and the smallest stone is garnet. The rosy tint of the gold nicely highlights the colors of the stones. The second smallest stone is kunzitea gemstone popularized by Tiffany during the early 20th century, but rarely encountered today. Either end of the pin is decorated with an elegant gold scroll. The back retains the original trombone clasp with twisting lock mechanism. Tested and guaranteed 18K gold. Origin: Brazil, ca. 1950. Condition: excellent, all original. Size: 2-5/8 x 3/4. Weight: 21.0 grams. Approximate Total Gemstone Weight: 41.9 carats (citrine, 11.71 cts.; aquamarine 10.05 cts.; amethyst, 8.6 cts.; kunzite, 6.21 cts.; garnet, 5.33 cts.)
