A good, clean copy of "Repairing and Restoring Antique Furniture", by John Rodd, first published in 1976, this fourth impression copy issued in 1987 by David & Charles of Newton Abbot. An extensively revised and extended edition of the book first published in 1954 by B.T. Batsford, under the title "The Repair and Restoration of Furniture". Although a cabinet-maker by trade, much of the author's work has been concerned with the restoration of antique furniture. This book gathers together the fruits of over fifty years' experience at the bench, explaining clearly, with the aid of over 170 photographs and diagrams the techniques which he has tried and tested, and chosen as most suitable for each particular piece of work.
